About Us
Liquidnitro Games is India’s flagship live services and game production company, founded by industry veterans with a proven track record in producing massively successful games and live operations. We empower global studios and publishers to grow, optimize, and personalize their games through cutting-edge technology and live services platforms.
Role Overview
As a Data Engineer Architect, you will define and drive the architecture behind our next-generation data platform powering hyper-personalized player experiences and AI-driven business outcomes across global titles. You will own the design and implementation of real-time and batch data pipelines, data governance frameworks, and ML infrastructure that operate at petabyte scale.
This is a critical leadership role in shaping our cross-title data stack and enabling low-latency insights, secure data exchange, and intelligent systems that impact millions of players across our global game network.
Key Responsibilities
- Design highly scalable, fault-tolerant, and cost-effective data architectures across ingestion, storage, transformation, and access layers.
- Define and enforce cross-game schema standards, unified player identity models, and core entity relationships (players, sessions, purchases, behaviors).
- Balance real-time vs batch processing needs, optimizing cost, performance, and latency using tools like Kafka, Spark, Airflow, etc.
- Define best practices for data modeling at conceptual, logical, and physical levels.
- Architect and operationalize MLOps infrastructure, including model pipelines, feature stores, metadata tracking, and vector databases.
- Collaborate with AI engineers to align data architecture with agentic workflows, recommendation systems, LLMs, and simulation environments.
- Implement scalable data governance, including lineage, quality checks, data classification, and retention frameworks.
- Ensure compliance with global standards (GDPR, CCPA, COPPA) and enable secure, auditable access across all data services.
- Build ETL/ELT frameworks integrating in-game telemetry, user behavior, monetization, CRM, ads, 3rd-party industry signals, and public APIs.
- Evaluate and integrate best-in-class data and cloud solutions such as:
- Cloud: AWS, GCP, Azure
- Warehouses/Lakes: Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, Databricks
- Streaming: Kafka, Pub/Sub
- Orchestration: Airflow, dbt
- Mentor a growing team of data engineers; contribute to hiring and scaling efforts.
- Drive adoption of modern data practices across engineering, product, analytics, and business teams.
- Represent Liquidnitro Games in external forums, conferences, and partnerships as a data thought leader in gaming.
Skills & Experience
- 7–11 years of experience designing and building data systems at scale, with hands-on experience leading data engineering or architecture teams.
- Proven track record designing distributed systems for structured and unstructured data across real-time and batch pipelines.
- Deep understanding of OLAP/OLTP systems, data lakes, time-series data, and dimensional modeling.
- Experience building MLOps-ready infrastructure, including feature stores, model registries, and vector search.
- Strong hands-on experience with cloud-native tools on AWS, GCP, Azure, and platforms like Snowflake, Databricks, Redshift, or BigQuery.
- Familiarity with data privacy, data residency, and secure data exchange practices.
- Ability to align architecture decisions with business goals and cross-functional needs.
- Passionate mentor and effective communicator with strong leadership presence.
